If you live in the DFW area you’ve been accustomed to some of the best firework shows the country has to offer. Shows like the Frisco Freedom Fest, Addison Kaboom Town, and Mckinney Red, White and Boom have dazzled spectators for decades. However, with growing covid-19 concerns these events are going to look a little different from previous years…
Due to mandates for large gatherings, capacity has been limited and there will be a strong push for viewers to stay in their vehicles to watch the displays
Events like the Freedom Fest 5K, Prosper Kid Zone, and most non-firework related activities are being canceled left and right.
Many cities are ONLY allowing vehicle viewing, which affects the need for food vendors. If your event is one of them, drive through and grab some food or prepare something in advance. (even if you are allowed to leave your car some events have elected not to have vendors to limit gatherings)
Be sure to check the city website for updated information, what is true today could be changed tomorrow.
Is car viewing or watching a stream not your thing? Many families have decided this is the year they are going to try and do their own family fireworks show. As exciting as it is, it has the potential to be very dangerous. Click the link below to learn some useful tips for your home display!
Many counties also impose burn bans during the summer months or don’t allow recreational fireworks at all. Check online to see where you need to go to bring the BOOM.
This is already shaping up to be a year of record sales for firework stands, so get out today before inventory is limited or gone!
